6.17.
In all day care facilities there should be at least one member of staff with first aid training who is responsible for keeping the first aid box fully supplied and checking its contents from time to time. Managers should ensure that all staff have a working knowledge of first aid.
Childminders should also have at least a working knowledge of first aid and first aid box whose contents are checked regularly. It is recommended that childminders are encouraged to undergo first aid training.
